3) Construction Phase:

Our in-house team collaboratively orchestrates every step of the creation process, working closely with our network of reliable building material suppliers and experienced custom building contractors to streamline the journey from blueprint to reality. We uphold a commitment to transparency and client engagement, ensuring you are informed of the progress at every stage and facilitating regular site visits so that you are integrally involved in witnessing your dream home come to life.

4) Final Walk-through:

Before your visit your completed home, we meticulously conduct a pre-walkthrough, a step where we rigorously ensure that every detail aligns perfectly with the project specifications and plans. This is also the time where we add the finishing touches and refine the finer points, ensuring everything is primed to exceed your expectations when you step through the door.

5) Closing & Move-in:

What is a custom built home?

We pride ourselves on constant and open communication. Many of our clients live out of state, and they depend on frequent pictures and videos from the job site and near daily texts and emails about how things are unfolding. We find that timely communication is the #1 factor that keeps our clients happy throughout the entire design and building process and then for the years that follow. Another trait that seems to separate us from other builders is our very direct involvement every step of the way. We go with our clients as the design unfolds to pick out all of the components that will make up the home, and always keep in mind the budget we are working with. All of the features selected for your home interact with each other, and it is imperative that the builder be involved to make sure all of these relationships will in fact work, physically as well as financially. Even if clients choose to go with an outside design company or architect, we still want to be involved from day one to assist in the myriad of decisions that need to be made besides the layout of the home.

Absolutely! We use materials and products that are sustainable, renewable, recycled, and low-VOC (volatile organic compounds). We incorporate features such as: Tankless water heaters, High-efficiency, multi-speed HVAC systems, LED lighting. How much will my custom home cost?

Following a brief meeting or phone conversation, our proprietary software can come up with a realistic budget for your home based on past projects and current building prices. This price includes everything except for the lot itself, from plans and permits, through pool and landscaping, with the highest end finishes and specifications. We don’t try to lure in new clients with a low square footage price and then have constant upgrades, mark-ups, and hidden costs. Price per square foot can easily get to be a game if people don’t realize the basic concept behind it. Generally speaking, a smaller home will cost more per square foot than a larger home because there is less square footage to divide things like the kitchen or the pool into. Then again, in larger homes clients often desire more exotic features like a true climate controlled wine cellar and home theater, which of course drives up the cost per square foot. Large or small though, the things behind the walls, like the HVAC and electrical system, are far superior to anything else we have ever seen. People don’t always realize it, since the things that truly make their home exceptional are rarely on display, but that is the kind of home we take pride in building.

How long does it take to design and build a custom home?

The design process to complete the plans, make all selections, and submit for permitting usually takes 6-10 months. Construction for most projects takes 12 to 18 months once the permit is obtained. The actual project timeline is calculated based on several factors, such as: Lot Considerations -hillside / retaining walls / pool location, Size, Design, Complexity, Homeowner’s Association approval process. Who will actually build my home?

We work with the best in all fields of residential construction, from large companies that specialize in high end components to smaller companies that work largely just for us. Having been in the local industry for over 20 years, we are very cognizant of who the best trades are in their given fields, and which are the best fit for us. Regardless of size, our vendors have to pass rigorous insurance, safety, and financial tests to partner with Regency Custom Homes. Once achieved, they know they can count on being paid by Regency quickly and accurately upon job or phase completion. In addition to timely payment, we provide clean, safe building sites and streamlined schedules for our partners, and because of that, the best tradesmen from the best companies prefer to work on our jobs.

Do you offer a warranty or guarantee on your homes?

Yes, we provide a formal two-year warranty on all workmanship and materials and a 10 year structural warranty. We stand behind our work and will correct any defects that may arise. We understand that your impression of us as a builder will be formed largely after construction has subsided and you are living in your completed masterpiece.
